MVO Study
v2 v3 1 1 = MVO = 2 2 3 MVO is ... 3 MVO is Microvascular Obstruction study. 4 5 The MVO study is aiming to recruit 297 patients, although this is predicted to increase. Patients have blood sample, a clinical echo, an angio and cMR. Patients with STEMI are given one of two new drugs or a control. 4 6 5 7 MVO uses: … … 7 9 CaTissue: to manage specimen collection and inventory. 8 10 9 Contact for more information about the MVO study is: 11 In addition, we need to develop a widget for the LCBRU drupal platform, to generate blinded identifiers for the angio and the cMR so that reporting can be conducted blind, before the data is re-identified. The widget would need to take as input the patient's study ID, and return two unconnected random 'blind identifiers'. Mapping should be stored in a table, with error checking to ensure patients are not entered more than once. For unblinding, the input of a randomised blind identifier should return the appropriate study ID. 10 12 13 Access to the widget should be restricted to nurses working on the MVO study, and not the people responsible for reporting the imaging. Initial staff are: Lorraine Shipley, Gemma Turland, Jamal Khan. 11 14 15 Images from remote sites would be sent with study IDs intact, anonymised in Leicester, reported by Dr Nazir, and then the report would be associated with the study ID prior to return to the remote site. 16 17 DICOM images need to be stripped of identifiers. A likely tool for this purpose (which might have interesting applications elsewhere) is Dicom Editor, produced as part of the MIRC project: http://mircwiki.rsna.org/index.php?title=DicomEditor 18 19 Contact for more information about the MVO study is: Dr Sheraz Nazir 20
