    55The workbench is built using the Eclipse framework, so should work wherever Java and Eclipse are supported. However, the packaged versions of the desktop currently cover Windows and the Mac, but I cannot find one for Linux. Still under investigation.

     7Loaded the Workbench projects into Eclipse and can run the Workbench from the development environment. Connects correctly to the publicly available demo system (the Harvard demo) across the internet. Edited the i2b2workbench.properties file in the edu.harvard.i2b2.eclipse project to connect to my local i2b2 install. Can connect successfully but then get a database error.

     9The above shows the Workbench could be packaged for linux without too many problems. Just need to work out the package procedure.
